What do you like the most about your job?

Every day is different. Each day I get to work with a different facet of this department, whether it be orientation, camp, greek life, or student organizations. I never know what to expect, which makes the work here fun!

What’s your dream job?

I’d love to be a novelist. Cliché as it sounds, I really do love writing and have an overactive imagination!

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

When people invade my personal space.

What has been your favorite class at Texas Tech?

My web design class. The process is extremely tedious, which is very therapeutic to me, because I can lose myself in the details and forget about all my other stressors.

What’s one food you wish had zero calories?

Every Italian dish…..ever.

What is your typical day like in the office?

I come in, make sure I’m on the response group for the office, check my email, check OrgSync for any student assistant updates, and then wait and see what the day brings. Really, my day depends on the activities and events the office has scheduled. I’ll do anything from answer phones all day, to prepare orientation bags, to run errand to other buildings on campus.

What kind of music could we find on your iPod/iPhone?

Literally everything from Rock, to Country, to Rap, to Hip Hop, to Pop, to Indie.

What’s been your favorite project to work with?

I was able to create social media graphics for Red Raider Camp. I love to create graphics and being able to do it in a professional setting was a lot of fun.

What’s the greatest lesson you’ve ever learned?

No job is too small, and be flexible!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully, on Capitol Hill working as a congressional staffer!

What’s your favorite quote?

“You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one.” –Henry D. Thoreau

How did you hear about this position?

From one of my professors, via email.

Where’s one place you would like to travel to?

Scotland
